Based in Boulder, and happy to travel throughout the Front Range — Denver, Golden, Louisville, Longmont, Loveland, Lyons, and anywhere else within an hours drive from Boulder.
Family & Maternity Sessions
These sessions aren’t about lining everyone up and hoping for one good frame. Whether it’s the family you have now or the one you’re about to meet, we’ll pick a place that means something to you — a favorite trail, your backyard, a corner of the Flatirons — and I’ll follow you through it. Some direction, lots of laughs. The goal is real: the piggyback rides, the kid who won’t look at the camera, the hand resting on a growing belly, the in-between moments that end up mattering more than the posed ones.
Includes 25 finished images, with more available if you fall for extras.
Pricing starts at $500.
Hosting a bigger gathering? Grandparents, multiple siblings’ families — extended family sessions start at $700 for two family units, with $150 for each additional unit joining. Reach out for details.
Couple Sessions
For engagements, anniversaries, or just because you want photos of this season together. These work the same way as everything else I shoot: relaxed, a little bit guided, and focused on how you two actually are with each other — not how you think you’re supposed to look.

Newborn Sessions
In-home, unhurried, and built around your baby’s schedule instead of a shot list. These sessions slow all the way down — quiet light, tired eyes, the specific chaos of a house with a brand-new person in it. Nothing stiff, nothing staged. Just the early days, documented while they’re still happening. Includes 25 finished images, with more available if you fall for extras.

Senior Sessions
Photos that look and feel like you before you head off to whatever’s next — a favorite park, your street, wherever feels like yours. A couple of outfit changes, some direction, mostly just showing up as yourself. The base price starts with 25 finished images and one location but we the sky is the limit if you want more scenes and images.

Adventure Sessions & Elopements
For couples who want something bigger than a standard session — an engagement adventure, a vow renewal, or a small elopement built around a sunrise hike or a favorite trail in Boulder County. These sessions lean on the same documentary approach behind every Afar Creative session, plus a planning background that makes the logistics of a bigger day easier to manage. Pricing varies by scope — reach out and let’s talk through what you’re picturing.

Branding Sessions
Photos for your website, social, and marketing materials — the in-action and lifestyle shots that actually show what your brand does. Backed by 15+ years in marketing strategy, I know what a brand needs from its images, not just what looks nice on its own. Outdoors or in your workspace, natural light, minimal fuss. Pricing varies by scope — reach out and let’s talk through what you need.

What to Expect
Here’s how it works, start to finish:
Book your date. I’ll follow up with a style guide and a few quick questions to make your session uniquely yours.
We plan together. Location ideas, styling tips, and timing based on where the light will be best.
Session day. I’ll guide you a little, then we let things happen instead of performing them. Family and Couples sessions run 45–60 minutes; Newborn sessions are longer, paced around your baby (usually 2–3 hours).
Gallery & delivery. You’ll get a link to a preview gallery to choose your favorites — full retouching happens only on the images you select, and your finished gallery arrives within 3–4 weeks. Falling for more than what’s included? Additional images are available individually or as a full gallery unlock.
